New Hampshire, rebuke Republican lawmakers who voted against pro-life legislation!
The tragic reality of the American politician system is that it is made up of politicians who act in self-interest. Often, instead of doing what they know is right, they choose whatever appears to be the most popular opinion at the time.
Unfortunately, a group of Republican lawmakers in New Hampshire just did exactly that. State House Bill 578 would have outlawed abortion after unborn babies become viable, which means they could survive outside the womb. Stunningly, 30 Republicans voted against HB 578.
Please sign this protest petition to these Republicans condemning them for their cowardly vote and rebuking them for disregarding human life. A large segment of the Republican base is pro-life! These politicians need to listen to us or they will soon find themselves out of a job.
“As a result of the vote, NH remains one of the seven states to allow abortions right up to the moment of birth,” bill sponsor and Representative wrote Keith Murphy.
By 20 weeks, an unborn baby looks just like what he is—a baby. The reality is that from the moment of conception, each individual person is a person worth protecting. By just six weeks, before most women even know they are pregnant, the unborn baby is developing his nose, mouth, and ears—and beating heart! By 12 weeks, that baby’s heartbeat can be easily heard with a Doppler. The fact that abortion is legal past the age of viability in New Hampshire is beyond the pale of extreme.
Sometimes, through the way the media represents the abortion debate, it can seem that pro-life advocates are in the minority. However, in reality, there is consensus among Americans that abortion must be limited. Eight in ten Americans agree that abortion should have real legal limits. Only about one in ten Americans support unrestricted abortion.
It’s clear that pro-life Americans are in the majority. Let’s fight back against the perception that we are in the minority by vocally proclaiming our position. These Republican politicians need to realize that voting pro-life is in their self-interest if they want to keep their jobs. Let’s put the pressure on.
