Radical abortion supporter invited to Vatican science conference. Write to the Pope!
At the end of February and the beginning of March, the Pontifical Academy of Sciences has organised a conference at the Vatican, entitled "Biological Extinction". The main topic of the meeting will be the issue of environmental protection.
Unfortunately, among the invited speakers is a notorious doctor from the US, Paul Ehrlich - he is a biologist and demographer, known for his extreme, anti-human, anti-life views. Since the 1970s, he has openly supported the legalisation of abortion in his publications, going so far as to support the use of forced-abortion and sterilisation to reduce the population of the Earth.
He has even stated that allowing women to have any number of children, is like allowing people "to throw as much of their garbage into their neighbour's backyard as they want." (New York Times, May 31, 2015)
Also, in other, recent interviews, he has repeatedly spoken against the teaching of the Church on abortion and contraception. Ehrlich has even slandered Pope Francis' defence of life in Laudato Si, as "raving nonsense".
Because of Ehrlich's opposition to Life - and, just plain bad science (his theories on population growth/control in his 1968 book, "The Population Bomb", have been wholely discredited), concerned Catholics and all people of goodwill now encourage the Pope to ask the Pontifical Academy of Sciences to disinvite him from speaking at the upcoming conference.
