Tell Speaker Joe Straus, Christians are a powerful voting bloc in Texas!
Apparently Republican Speaker of the House Joe Straus doesn’t think Christians or Christian values should play into Republican politics. Straus must have forgotten what state he is from, because in Texas, Christians are a major voting bloc and he needs to listen up or lose his seat.
This term, Straus blocked the Texas bathroom bill, Senate Bill 6, which would have protected women and young girls in the state by requiring all people to use the restroom of their biological sex. This was a common sense bill, which should not have been controversial. However, Straus seems to be more concerned with courting the LGBT lobby than protecting young women or traditional values which are part of the bedrock of Texas.
Please sign this petition to Straus now letting him know that his voters are taking note of his disregard for traditional values and women’s safety. If he wants to remain a Representative, he had better start shaping up his political stances.
Straus has said that Senate Bill 6 was unnecessary and manufactured. Unfortunately, it clearly is necessary given the advances of the sexual revolution and the aggressive agenda of some on the left to force women to share their private spaces with men.
Straus says that he is upset that the Republican Party has been fighting for Christian and traditional values. He stated that he hopes to silence the “few loud and fanatical people” who believe in curbing the radical sexual revolution through common sense laws that protect women and young girls.
What’s so ridiculous about all of this is that Texas, of all places, is a state full of voters who vote based on traditional values. According to the Pew Research Center, 77 percent of Texans identify as Christians.
That’s a voting bloc to be reckoned with. Let’s make some noise and let Straus know that he should be reaching out to Texans with traditional values, not the radical LGBTQ lobby.
