Tell legislators to cut off state contracts to Planned Parenthood in Texas!
Thanks to the work of dedicated pro-life investigative journalists, the true nature of the abortion industry is being exposed in America. What these investigations have revealed is truly horrifying. Babies are being torn apart and their bodies are being sold at a profit – and the abortions that occur at Planned Parenthood are being subsidized by taxpayer dollars.
Fortunately, since the Center for Medical Progress began releasing videos in the summer of 2015, abortion reforms have swept across America. Nearly two-dozen states have defunded Planned Parenthood or are considering doing so. Late term abortions are likewise being banned, and in 2017 alone over 22 abortion clinics around the country have been shut down.
Thanks to the pro-life leadership of Governor Greg Abbott, Texas is on the frontlines of battling Planned Parenthood. Most recently, Governor Abbott has asked the legislature to consider legislation that would cut off state contracts to Planned Parenthood in Texas.
Let’s urge the legislature to support this proposal! Planned Parenthood deserves to be shut down and investigated, not to receive taxpayer dollars!
As a series of recent investigative videos produced by Live Action have demonstrated, Planned Parenthood clinics offer pregnant women only one option—abortion.
Planned Parenthood clinics (1) do not offer prenatal care, (2) won’t allow use of ultrasounds for anything other than abortion, and, in fact, (3) are required to meet certain quotas of abortions each month. One of these facts being true is a travesty; all three make the mission of Planned Parenthood toward pregnant women clear—perform as many abortions as possible!
A former employee of Planned Parenthood recently revealed that she was trained “to really encourage women to get an abortion and to [get] it at Planned Parenthood, because that would help us meet our goal [quota]. We would try to have the appointment for the abortion scheduled before they left the clinic.
“We would say things like, ‘your visit today costs X number of dollars, how much of that are you going to be able to pay today?’ If they said, ‘I’m not able to pay today,’ we’d say, ‘If you can’t pay ten dollars today, how are you going to take care of a baby? … There is nowhere you can go to get help, don’t you think your smartest choice is termination.’”
It’s obvious, Planned Parenthood isn’t a women’s health clinic primarily – it’s an abortion business. And they do a lot of business. Every day, Planned Parenthood callously takes the lives of 300 unborn babies.
Please urge the legislature to cut off state contracts to Planned Parenthood!
