No Obligatory LGBT Indoctrination Program for EU Commission Staff

The EU Commission has just published a new Charter on "Diversity and Inclusion".

The press release, accompanying the Charter, states that four groups of staff and managers, working for the EU, will receive preferential treatment, including women, the disabled, older members of staff, and the LGBT community.

But, only the LGBT staff are able to command, "awareness activities and trainings for managers and staff, in particular, to address any unconscious bias".

That is, no other segment of the working population of the EU Commission, which numbers 33,000, has its own indoctrination program which will be forced on every other member of staff.

This kind of special treatment has no place in the EU Commission.

Other staff members and managers should not be forced to endure "diversity" training days, which apply to one group of people, alone - it is self-evident that that type of "training" is not at all about diversity, but, rather, about indoctrination.

If EU Commission staff and managers are not able to treat everyone they come into contact with, with respect and professional courtesy, those individuals should certainly be reprimanded.

Perhaps, in that regard, every staff member and manager ought to take a mandatory course on ethical conduct in government.

But, LGBT indoctrination programs, like the one which has been mooted, are both an affront to the taxpayer, who must pay for social propaganda and engineering, and also to the staff and managers, themselves, whose freedom of conscience and, possibly, freedom of religion may be unjustly limited.

Therefore, with these things in mind, this petition - which is directed to EU Commissioner for Budget & Human Resources, Mr Günther H. Oettinger and to the EU Ombudsman Head of Communications, Ms Gundi Gadesmann - insists that no such LGBT "training" program ever be obligatory for EU Commission staff and management.

If the EU Commission is actually committed to "diversity", then it should respect the beliefs and opinions of many of its own staff who vehemently disagree with it on this matter, and with the EU taxpayer who, likewise, has serious objections to this type of government program.

Thank you for signing, now!

EU Taxpayers Do Not Want An LGBT Indoctrination Program Forced on Commission Employees

For the Attention Of:

  • EU Commissioner for Budget & Human Resources - Mr Günther H. Oettinger
  • EU Ombudsman Head of Communications - Ms Gundi Gadesmann

We, the undersigned, strongly object to EU taxpayer funds being used to force the 33,000-strong workforce at the EU Commission to undergo an LGBT indoctrination program, contained within (yet) another new Charter - the so-called "Diversity and Inclusion Charter".

In a Commission press release, dated 19 July, 2017, it is suggested that all managers and staff will have to participate in "awareness activities and trainings" in order to, "address any unconscious bias" [against homosexuals, et al.].

While women, older people and the disabled are also specifically identified as groups requiring special treatment by this new Charter, only the LGBT "community" commands indoctrination sessions.

This type of Orwellian policy decision has no place in the institutions of the EU.

If EU Commission staff and managers are not able to treat everyone they come into contact with, with respect and professional courtesy, those individuals should certainly be reprimanded.

But, to insist that the entire staff and management of the EU Commission undergo LGBT indoctrination training sessions is not only beyond reason, it is also an infringement of the freedoms of conscience and religion of all those working for the Commission.

Therefore, we insist that no such LGBT "training" program ever be obligatory for EU Commission staff and management.

If the EU Commission is actually committed to "diversity", then it should respect the beliefs and opinions of many of its own staff who vehemently disagree with it on this matter.

Sincerely,
