Condemned for the buggery of a boy, UNICEF consultant, Peter Newell, was a key and leading figure in the creation of international "standards" in the field of "child protection".
Sign a petition asking EU Member States to erase his "legacy", so as to ensure the protection of our families and the national security of each EU Member State, from the international "standards" which he created.
On February 16, 2018, British media reported on the conviction and imprisonment of former UNICEF consultant Peter Newell, who, as it happened, repeatedly assaulted a boy in the 1960s. When this happened for the first time, the child was 12 years old. Newell turned out to be a pedophile, which "deeply shocked" the UNICEF representative who spoke to the media.
However, Newell was not just any UN consultant. In fact, he was a key and leading figure in the creation of international standards in the field of "childhood protection".
We are convinced that these facts should make the state look at international "standards and obligations" in the field of "child protection" in a new and sober way.
Sign this petition, demanding that measures be taken to ensure that EU Member States, and the international community, are spared the "legacy" of the pedophile-expert, Peter Newell, as well as the organisations created and led by him.
The movement for the prohibition of corporal punishment in the family goes back to the activity of the pedophile pedagogical organisation, Pedophile Information Exchange (PIE), which existed in Great Britain from 1974 to 1982, when pedophilia was considered by many representatives of the English public as one of the aspects of the "rights" of homosexuals.
This English organisation first began an active struggle for the "right" of children to sexual freedom and for their "release" from parental control in order to facilitate pedophiles' access to children. Soon after PIE was closed by the authorities for "damage to public morality," the fallen flag of the struggle for "children's rights" was picked up by Peter Newell, who previously headed the educational direction in the "National Council for Civil Liberties", of which PIE was a member.
Over the years, he diligently and consistently created a movement for the prohibition of the right, first of teachers, and then, parents, to physically punish children - first at the national and then at the international level. In the pursuit of its goal, this movement was built on manipulation and deception from the very beginning. At the same time, Newell played a key role in all British, and, then, international organisations created to achieve this goal.
The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe based some of their decisions on documents originating from Newell's organisation and their "expert" participation. He was the author, co-author and member of the editorial boards of the official publications of UNESCO, UNICEF, and other documents that determined global policy - for example, the official UN report on violence against children.
Newell was, also, for a long time, a member of the Board of Directors of the influential international organisation, CRIN, the Child Rights International Network, which works with numerous organisations and government institutions associated with "protecting children", in many countries of the world.
Within the framework of this organisation, he was one of the creators and two leaders of the lobbyist coalition, which included 80 organisations from different countries, whose efforts played a decisive role in the adoption of the optional protocol to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, giving children the right to complain about violations of their rights directly to the UN Committee.
The activities of Newell and related structures, in fact, became the basis on which a number of international "standards" in the field of "protection of children's rights" were built.
For example, in 2007, Newell became one of two co-authors (the second was his "home partner" Rachel Hodgkin) of the official "Handbook on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child", issued by UNICEF. He also actively promoted the idea of creating "children's government" structures. And, it was he who taught non-governmental organisations how to implement the recommendations of the UN Special Report on violence against children (the handbook he published on this subject was released in 2008 by the influential international organization Save the Children).
After the arrest and conviction of Peter Newell as a proven pedophile, the representative of UNICEF stated (as quoted by the BBC): "We are deeply shocked to learn about the arrest of Peter Newell. We did not know about this crime when he worked as a consultant to UNICEF 10 years ago. Since then, UNICEF has instituted rigorous procedures for checking staff and consultants."
But, as we saw above, Newell was not just one of many UNICEF consultants. This is a person who, without exaggeration, can be called a key figure in the creation of many international standards in the field of children's rights.
This situation raises serious and disturbing questions concerning the protection of procedures for the creation of international standards in the field of child protection, and the nature of the purposes for which they are created by various non-state lobbyists.
We are convinced that any legal norms, both internationally and nationally, should be interpreted and applied in favour of the family and the rights of parents. Norms, "standards" and practical approaches that contradict this principle are directed against the family, which means that they are dangerous for society and for the national security of the state. Thus, in the future, they must be rejected.
This situation has arisen as new legal "standards" and new "obligations" in the field of child protection are seriously threatening the international security and national security of our countries, and as these new legal "standards and obligations" are based on radical, anti-family ideologies.
"The past shows very well how many international requirements and norms in the field of children's rights and human rights, in general, are deceptive and dangerous," said the President of the Family Policy Center. "We have been paying attention to the fact that many such claims are based on radical ideologies which are dangerous for society and are literally created out of nothing. This story is very illustrative. It shows that next to the creation of a whole system of standards, there were not just abstract ideologues - but a real pedophile and the institutions he directed. The state should make serious conclusions from such stories!"
"We have known for a long time that the origins of the movement for prohibiting corporal punishment of children in the family are related to the activities of pedophiles, as well as about the key importance of Peter Newell in this area," said Pavel Parfentiev, Director of the Family Policy Center. "And, now, after this revelation (about Newell), we felt it necessary to publicly advert to this situation. The public should know who and how they form the "international standards", supposedly designed to protect the child, but, in fact, often aimed at destroying the family and for other extremely unseemly purposes."
In 2014, UNICEF published a position paper in which they supported the legislative recognition of same-sex couples, called for the repeal of laws restricting the promotion of homosexuality among children and "changing social norms" with regard to homosexuality - all supposedly to "protect" the rights and interests of the world's children. This position of the UN Children's Fund was condemned in a petition on CitizenGO, calling on UNICEF to withdraw its position and collecting more than 112,000 signatures from around the world.
What led UNICEF to these unnatural positions? Could it not be the influence of interested "experts", such as the convicted pedophile and rapist, Peter Newell?

The Foreign and Interior Ministers of each Member State of the EU to ensure the protection of their nation's families and the national security of their countries, by:
- Launching an investigation to identify officials and nonprofit organisations whose activities could be influenced by the convicted pedophile, Peter Newell, as an expert to UNICEF and other international institutions, or, other structures and organisations created and directed by him. Ensure thorough verification of the legality of their activities.
- Ensuring the refusal to implement any concepts, standards and programs in your nations which were developed and promoted by Peter Newell, as an expert of UNICEF and other international institutions, or, other structures and organisations created and directed by him.
- Completely abandoning the implementation in your nations of international norms, approaches and "standards" in the field of child protection, contrary to the interests of families, the rights of parents, traditional family and moral values.
- Conducting an analysis of the norms of international treaties affecting the interests of the family and the rights of parents to which your nations are party. Take measures to exit those treaties whose norms are unfavourable from the point of view of protecting the family and the rights of parents.
- Demanding an investigation, in the UN and other international institutions, aimed at identifying the extent and nature of the impact on their work of the UNICEF expert and convicted pedophile, Peter Newell, and other international institutions, or, other structures and organisations created and directed by him.
- Demanding, on behalf of your nations, that all international documents and other materials developed with their participation or under their influence be withdrawn and reviewed.
- Consistently opposing any influence on the activities of international organisations and the documents of radical anti-family ideologies that they create, and uncompromisingly upholding the fundamental rights of the family and parents.
