Good news this week as the Tasmanian State government announced that the government will be scrapping the controversial Safe Schools Program.
Tasmania’s Education and Training Minister Mr Jeremy Rockliff has confirmed that his government would not continue to fund the program — which has so far been adopted by 22 Tasmanian schools — once federal funding stops mid-year.

The move appears to be a knee-jerk reaction in response to last month’s Presidential Executive Order to reinstate the Mexico City Policy. The Mexico City Policy aims to stop American aid going to pro-abortion international organisations such as Planned Parenthood and their affiliates.
The 7th February this year marked, Safer Internet Day. The aim of this day is to join globally to build awareness of the importance for children to be cyber smart. Being cyber smart includes learning about issues such as cyberbullying, consent awareness when posting images, and addressing online safety and grooming.
