As citizens of Richmond, we are very surprised to learn from the newspaper that the City is proposing to have a permanent rainbow crossing in Richmond’s city centre. We are concerned about the attempt to have a decision made with very short notice and no consultation with the community. We are asking City Council to put a halt on the decision and provide the public with channels and opportunities to have their input on this proposal.

Petition to: Mayor & Councillors of City of Richmond

We are concerned about the attempt to have a decision made with very short notice and no consultation with the community. We would like to ask City Council to put a halt on the decision and provide the public with channels and opportunities to have their input on this proposal.

Should Council agree to initiate a public consultation, we believe that, as a result, the City will come up with  a better plan to fulfill its objective to celebrate diversity and inclusiveness in our community.
