France has taken the devastating step of enshrining abortion in its constitution, under the guise of protecting women's rights, rights that were never threatened to begin with.
France's abortion rate is already almost as high as that of the UK, where laws are extremely liberal and babies can be aborted right up until the moment of birth.
However, abortions have been declining in other European countries like Italy, Germany, and Hungary.
Sacrificing innocent lives is not a step forward but a step backward in our humanity.
Now, the European Parliament (EP) wants to take advantage of this, and include abortion in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, which covers all human rights in Europe... except for the rights of unborn children.
How can this be a fundamental right when the unborn child has no voice to defend itself? How did we come, as a society, to celebrate the extermination of precious lives?
The vote will take place on April 11, and the left-wing majority in the EP, fueled by the recent inclusion of abortion in the French Constitution, is trying to secure a huge victory for the feminist lobby.
It is outrageous to think that the Charter of Fundamental Rights could include the right to kill an innocent human being. The Charter should protect ALL lives at all ages and stages, especially the most vulnerable.
MEPS are also attempting to silence opposition to abortion by calling on the Council to re-write the current rule so that it does not require unanimous agreement from all member states.
If this resolution were to become effective, it could serve as a precedent and would undoubtedly be weaponised against pro-life governments in the European Commission.
The power to regulate abortion falls within the jurisdiction of individual Member States, as health policy does not come under European authority. Any amendments to the treaties that infringe on these jurisdictions could potentially alienate nations supporting the pro-life position. These "inflexible" countries are now facing significant pressure, which could lead to various economic sanctions (cuts in funds, increases in interest, etc.).
During the debate on March 14, the pro-life voice in the European Parliament was strongly attacked. It is outrageous to think that the Charter of Fundamental Rights could include the right to kill, and dissenting countries could even be silenced to pass abortion into the EU Charter—another blow to democracy.
In other words, this MEP vote for abortion in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights is a vote against life and democracy.
It's shocking how the unborn child is completely ignored in this debate. Yet, at six weeks, we can hear the baby's heart beating.
What about his right to life? Who will defend him if not you and me?
In Europe, abortion laws vary from 14 weeks in France and Spain to 24 weeks in the Netherlands (in fact, it is allowed as long as the fetus is not considered viable outside the womb).
At 14 weeks, a baby is the size of an orange, all of their organs are fully formed, their face is becoming recognizable, they are growing hair, finger, and toenails and their reflexes are working. It is around this time that mothers will first start to feel them moving.
Do we want to become like our neighbors in the UK or the Netherlands, whereby children can be aborted right up until the moment of birth if they are deemed to have even minor and easily treatable disabilities?
Do we want to allow children across Europe to be aborted up until birth for any reason, putting their mothers at great risk? Far from protecting women, laws that enshrine a woman's right to abortion, leave her continually vulnerable to pressure and coercion throughout the duration of her pregnancy.
Our petition could make a difference! Thanks to the voices of thousands of concerned citizens standing up for the right to life, we can campaign against parties and MEPs voting for abortion and hold them accountable.
We are the voice for these children who have no voice.

Defend Life: Reject Abortion as a Fundamental Right in the EU Charter
Dear President Roberta Metsola and MEPs,
We, the undersigned, urgently call on you to vote against the inclusion of abortion as a fundamental right in the European Union. The push to enshrine the killing of unborn children in the Charter of Fundamental Rights, masked behind women's rights, is a disturbing and dangerous precedent.
In a recent debate on 14 March, the pro-life voice in the European Parliament was overwhelmingly attacked. It is a crime to include the right to kill an innocent human being in the Charter, which should protect life at all ages and stages, especially the most vulnerable.
This resolution not only sets a precedent but also serves as a tool for the European Commission to blackmail pro-life governments. We urge you to block the call to remove the unanimity requirement from fundamental changes to the Treaties.
The unborn child's right to life must not be ignored. We can hear their heartbeat at 6 weeks, and by 14 weeks, they have a formed body with arms and legs.
With liberal abortion laws in France, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK, we must recognise the value of life and protect it.
Please vote in favour of the life and protection of the unborn, rejecting the inclusion of abortion as a fundamental right in the EU Charter. Your decision will shape the future of our society, and we must defend the most vulnerable among us.
Kind regards,
