Support Texas Parents Against Offensive LGBT Library Display
Parents in Temple, Texas are rallying against the imposition of the LGBT agenda on their children.
Concerned citizens in Temple, TX have formed an ad hoc organization called Concerned Christian Citizens (CCC), and are pushing back against the Board of the local public library, which (last July) allowed for a display celebrating the LGBT "lifestyle" and implicitly moralizing about sexual mores and ethics....in the Children's Section of the library!
Even though some brave members of the local community fought to get the display moved and a counter-presentation shown, the Library refused.
And, now, different, national librarian organizations have the audacity to try to paint this as an issue of "free speech"...
Well, Temple parents and concerned citizens have had enough of this kind of LGBT indoctrination! And, we, at CitizenGO, are going to support these parents and concerned citizens in their fight against this dangerous and wrong-headed agenda.
As one of the 'concerned' citizens said in a Facebook post: "So the families of Temple, TX, have to pay taxes to the city to have a library force dirty materials on their kids and they are barred from presenting a counter-presentation! Amazing."
Because of the Library's intransigence on this matter, the CCC group launched a common sense petition, which we are also supporting, and which, in part insists that: "[The] Temple Public Library, its Board, and its Administrators (those within the Library system and those representing the City of Temple) refrain in both policy and practice from further advocacy regarding sexual and moral issues and practices..."
This is a wholly reasonable request because, where children are concerned, it is the parents - not the city library - who are the primary educators and protectors of their children, especially - but, not only - in the area of sexual ethics.
This principle must be vindicated by the state - whose job it is to defend such inalienable rights...not force a sexual agenda down the throats of youngsters.
And so, this petition is addressed, not only to the Board of Temple Public Library, but also to the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott. It is important that the state politicians of Texas are alerted as to these developments, so as to limit, as much as possible, the further promotion of this type of propaganda in tax-payer funded amenities - like public libraries.
Thank you for signing this urgent petition!
