reclassification of gender dysphoria in ICD-11 is wrong

WHO reclassifies gender dysphoria to promote LGBTI social agenda

The World Health Organization (WHO) just released the new guidelines for Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) that will be discussed this September during the General Assembly of the United Nations.
One of WHO’s goals with ICD-11 is to ask each county to review medical definitions related to the transgender movement in an attempt to classify them as normal behavior.
WHO’s recommendations come without any scientific backing or evidence.
The American College of Pediatricians, the leading source of medical research and knowledge for the mental, social, and physical health of pediatric patients, issued a statement saying that the transgender ideology and the promoted treatment plan harms children.
“A review of the current literature suggests that this protocol is founded upon an unscientific gender ideology, lacks an evidence base, and violates the long-standing ethical principle of “First do no harm.”
ICD-11 reclassifies this from a mental condition known as a “dysphoria” to a condition related to sexual health. This would ask countries to come to a consensus to push treatment plans focusing on the alteration of a patients appearance.
The LGBTI movement asks medical professionals to support the following treatment plans:
- pubertal suppression with gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists;
- the use of cross-sex hormones; and
- sex-reassignment surgery.
Approval by the General Assembly may force doctors to comply with the above-mentioned treatment plans even if they conscientiously object.
40% of patients suffering from gender dysphoria attempt to commit suicide at one point in their life. LGBTI advocates claim the main reason for the high suicide rates is the lack of social acceptance and therefore further advocates for reassignment surgery. A 2011 Swedish study indicates that suicide rates remain high after sex-reassignment surgery. Their determination states that people who have had sex-reassignment surgery are 19 times more likely to die by suicide than is the general population.
The WHO reclassification is preventing people suffering from genuine mental anguish from getting real the real help they need. Their cost to push a social movement is paid with human lives.
Tell the WHO that transgenderism is gender dysphoria, a mental condition, not a movement of understanding and social acceptance.
