For many of us, social media is the first thing we check in the morning. Yes, we look at the news, but it’s our friends and the people we follow who really keep us informed on what is happening in the world around us. But unfortunately, social media websites aren’t neutral and some are trying to prevent certain messages and advertisements from being seen.

Such is the case with Twitter.  Twitter has decided that pro-life messages shouldn’t be on social media –so they are blocking them. The Susan B. Anthony List made an advertisement exposing the extreme pro-abortion stance of Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring. Twitter took the advertisement down. Why? Because the advertisement referenced the fact that abortion kills babies.

We need to stand up to Twitter and other forms of social media to say that this is unacceptable and that we demand they stop blocking pro-life positions! Sign this petition to Twitter now!

Twitter says that no advertiser is allowed to use the phrase, “killing babies.” But obviously, any scientifically accurate discussion of abortion will acknowledge what an abortion does –it kills a baby.

The President of the Susan B. Anthony List Majrorie Dannenfelser stated, “It seems to us that Twitter should be less offended about what we’re saying about abortion, than what the Abortion Industry is actually doing to unborn babies. But it’s not just political ads Twitter is censoring. They even censored one of my tweets quoting – believe it or not – Mother Teresa! And it’s not just us who Twitter is censoring. 

They’ve been blocking ads from our friends at Live Action, and our pro-life ally Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn.”

The fact that Twitter is fighting to silence a pro-life conservative should cause us grave concern. We are called by God to be the voice for the voiceless. In today’s society a primary way that we make our voices heard is through social media websites. Those websites cannot be allowed to silence us!
