Tell Texas Senate to Approve Pro-Life Measures Now!

Sadly, most of our culture has become inundated with the Left’s new sexual orthodoxy: free sex with whomever you want, however you want, with no strings attached, and no consequences. And now increasingly, the Left is trying to teach this orthodoxy to our children at younger and younger ages. As we’ve recently reported, schools are hosting events with adults in sexualized drag costumes, are forcing boys and girls to use the same restrooms, and in some cases are giving Planned Parenthood access to high schools to brainwash the children there.

The dirty little secret that the Progressives know but are unwilling to admit as they push for more and more immoral sex in the public square is this: sex has consequences. Chief among them is pregnancy—the scientific term for the creation of a new life inside his or her mother’s womb. The Left’s solution to this consequence of sex is not to tone down their sexual liberation rhetoric, but rather to accept and push for abortion without limitseven for girls who are still high school! Rather than support and encourage teenagers with unplanned pregnancies, Planned Parenthood and others often pressure them to kill their unborn children!

Now, we have the chance to do something about that! The Texas House just passed Representative Jim Murphy’s Bill 215, which would require abortion doctors to report every minor on whom they perform abortions, to explain how the minor received authorization for the abortion, and to report the circumstances for every “emergency abortion” performed on minors. This is an important step to restore a culture that values life in the State of Texas! Sign now to tell the Texas Senate to pass the bill and send it to Governor Abbott’s desk as soon as possible.

Every limitation on abortion is important to save lives. These reporting requirements will do just that. Specifically, if abortion doctors are required to report the circumstances around every abortion performed on minors, they may be less willing to skirt the parental approval requirements in our state. We will also get a sense of how many abortions are performed on minors and how many use court approval instead of parent approval.

It’s widely known that health and emergency exemptions to abortion laws are often abused for situations that are not truly emergencies. These new requirements will force doctors to think twice before pressuring young girls into abortions. The bill would specifically require doctors to certify whether there was time to contact a minor’s parents before killing their unborn grandchild. This specific question will make them think twice before claiming an “emergency” exemption to kill a minor’s baby.

The truth is that unplanned pregnancies are hard, and none more difficult than for unmarried minor young women. As parents, we should be doing everything to teach our children that sex is sacred and should be reserved for marriage—a tough task in today’s culture. But even if that message doesn’t soak through, we can still teach our teenage daughters the value of life and help them to raise, rather than smother, their children. But we can’t do that if abortionists convince them to get an abortion without our knowledge!

Sign this petition to make this Bill into law to deter more doctors from skirting the system, and maybe we’ll be able to save more lives from the abortionist’s knife in our state.

Support Bill 215

Dear Texas Senate,

It has come to my attention that the Texas House has recently passed Rep. Jim Murphy’s Bill 215 to require abortion doctors to record and report more information about the abortions they perform. This is common sense legislation that will hold abortionists accountable and may help to reduce the numbers of abortions by minors. Please pass this bill and send it to Governor Abbott’s desk as quickly as possible.

Every limitation on abortion is important to save lives. Specifically, if abortion doctors are required to report the circumstances around every abortion performed on minors, they may be less willing to skirt the parental approval requirements in our state. We will also get a sense of how many abortions are performed on minors and how many use court approval instead of parental approval.

It’s widely known that health and emergency exemptions to abortion laws are often abused for situations that are not truly emergencies. The bill would specifically require doctors to certify whether there was time to contact a minor’s parents before killing their unborn grandchild. This specific question will make them think twice before claiming an “emergency” exemption to kill a minor’s baby.

Please help make this bill into law to deter more doctors from skirting the system, and maybe we’ll be able to save more lives from the abortionist’s knife in our state.

Thank you.
