Illinois Governor says yes to taxpayer-funded abortion for all nine months!
Democrats and radical feminists often claim that they want abortion to be “safe, legal, and rare” in this country. But now, with the “shout your abortion” movement of NARAL and Planned Parenthood’s CEO admitting that abortion is a core “service” of the profit-driven company, abortion advocates are admitting the truth—they really want legal abortion with no limits.
The latest example of this extremist movement is right here in Illinois. Governor Bruce Rauner just signed a bill that would force taxpayers to fund abortions during all nine months of pregnancy.
This radical abortion position! Tell the Governor now that you strongly denounce his support of abortion and that you will vote your conscience come election time.
Rauner is a Republican who said he would veto this bill because tax-payer funding of abortions is still so unpopular in America. We don’t want our hard-earned money to be used to end the lives of our helpless and innocent neighbors. However, Rauncer went back on his word and instead signed this terrible bill into law.
It’s time to hold Gov. Rauner’s feet to the fire and tell him we’ve seen how he goes back on his promises! Enough is enough. Every single human life is precious in the eyes of God, and we should do everything in our power to save even one innocent unborn life.
This bill removes language from Illinois State law that states: “the unborn child is a human being from the time of conception and is, therefore, a legal person for purposes of the unborn child’s right to life.”
State Senator Heather Steans (D-Chicago) stated that this bill would ensure unrestricted access to abortion. It’s been estimated that the bill would result in an additional 12,000 unborn babies killed every year in Illinois (on the taxpayer dime).
What’s stunning about Governor Rauner’s support for this bill is that the majority of Illinois residents oppose it. As the National Review has reported, “a QEV Analytics poll taken in March 2017 asked Illinois registered voters: “Regardless of your personal opinion of abortion, do you favor or oppose allowing state government funding of abortion? Do you hold that opinion strongly or not strongly?” Fifty-eight percent of voters said they opposed public funding, and 50 percent opposed it “strongly,” while only 32 percent favored it and only 28 percent “strongly.” The poll’s respondents included more people who had voted for Hillary Clinton than for Donald Trump, and more Democrats than Republicans.”
So who exactly is Governor Rauner trying to please? It isn’t the voters of Illinois.
Every life is worth protecting. But apparently, Governor Rauner doesn’t think so. It’s time to let him know that he will pay a price for supporting taxpayer funded abortion come election time.
