No one, including doctors, nurses, and hospitals, should be forced to violate their own consciences. However, some abortion advocates are fighting to force medication professionals to participate in abortion even if it violates their personal beliefs.

The tragic reality of the American politician system is that it is made up of politicians who act in self-interest. Often, instead of doing what they know is right, they choose whatever appears to be the most popular opinion at the time.

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead has just signed legislation into law that will require abortion providers to offer women seeking abortions the opportunity to receive an ultrasound and hear their baby’s heartbeat. 

A bill in the Texas Senate would require individuals to use the bathroom that corresponds with their biological sex in government buildings and schools. This is common sense legislation that shouldn’t be uncontroversial.

Several weeks ago, Oregon lawmakers introduced legislation that would ban late-term abortions in Oregon! If passed, HB 3017 would reverse current law and prohibit doctors from aborting babies who are more than 20 weeks old!

As of January 1^st, public university students in California are now banned from traveling to “anti-LGBT” states.

Students from the University of California and California State University systems are banned from using school funds to travel to (at this point) Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Why? Because these states aren’t “friendly” to the LGBT community.

Legislation aimed at silencing Christians who support the traditional view of marriage (between one man and one woman) has just been approved by committee and will soon be up for consideration by the entire Nebraska legislature. LB173 would make sexual orientation and gender identity a protected class. This would mean that speaking out against gay marriage—even for religious reasons—would now be considered equivalent to racism. 

Arkansas has finally outlawed the inhumane practice of ripping an unborn baby apart in order to kill her. Let’s thank the Legislature and our Governor for taking this important step to stand up for the value of all human life!
