Don't Criminalize Christians! FREE County Clerk Kim Davis!!
BREAKING NEWS (SEPT 8): Victory! Judge David Bunning orders Kim Davis released from prison!
**UPDATE**
THIS AFTERNOON, KIM DAVIS HAS BEEN JAILED BY A FEDERAL JUDGE WHO ACCORDING TO THE NY TIMES STATED THAT "SHE WOULD BE RELEASED ONCE SHE AGREED TO COMPLY WITH HIS ORDER AND ISSUE 'MARRIAGE' LICENSES"
IN OTHER WORDS, BEING A FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN IS NOW A CRIMINAL OFFENSE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO THE GOVERNOR TO FREE KIM DAVIS!
Previous Note:
Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis, has stated publicly that she is willing to face the consequences of keeping her oath to uphold the constitution, but will politicians stand with this faithful Kentucky democrat or will they cower to the homosexual lobby and the courts?
The Lexington Herald reported that Davis can only be removed from her post if the General Assembly impeaches her. That is why we are asking the Senate President, Robert Stivers to stand with County Clerk Kim Davis and support her right to disobey unjust laws.
And make no mistake about it, the Supreme Court ruling in the Obergefell decision (the gay marriage ruling) was an unconstitutional unjust ruling.
In the dissenting opinion of Justice Antonin Scalia, the justice called the homosexual "marriage" ruling a "threat to American democracy." Chief Justice Roberts described the legal reasoning of the opinion as having "nothing to do with" the constitution.
Americans have a long history of standing up to runaway courts. Which is why actions like those of County Clerk Kim Davis are necessary if our constitutional republic is going to survive and not merely transform itself into a judicial tyranny.
John Hamilton famously wrote in the Federalist #78 that the Judiciary branch would be the weakest of the three because it had "no influence over either the sword or the purse, ...It may truly be said to have neither FORCE nor WILL, but merely judgment." The founders envisioned the government being in constant tension between the three competing branches.
Sadly, the political philosophy of checks and balances has been replaced with submission to the tyrannical will of five unelected federal judges.
Except in Kentucky, where one brave county clerk is standing her ground and refusing to enforce an unconstitutional decree to "marry" two men.
And for those who might think that there is the threat of anarchy or a threat to the rule of law, it is important to note that County Clerk Kim Davis was elected by the people, which is more than can be said of the supreme court justices.
As Alexander Hamilton stated, the court has not the power of the purse or the power of the sword. This was so that they could not coerce people like Kim Davis to violate her conscience and her oath of office.
All Christians of good will must support County Clerk Kim Davis. For as Benjamin Franklin famously stated, either we hang together or assuredly we shall all hang separately.
