The Pennsylvania House of Representatives sent a spending bill to the Governor’s desk which is set to increase spending by $1.6 billion and opens the door for massive tax increases both now and in the future.

The proposed spending bill is not reasonable. Worth more than $31.5 billion, it raises spending 5 times above the rate of inflation plus population growth.
Wednesday, the spending plan passed the Senate 47 votes ‘for’ to 3 ‘against’ and Thursday evening it passed the House 144 ‘for’ to 54 ‘against.’ Despite the unnecessary growth in spending, over half the House votes in support of the spending plan came from the GOP.
