The government of Mexico has attempted to impose a drastic cultural and constitutional change on the nation which will gravely damage Mexican families.

Backed by President Enrique Peña Nieto, the ruling government has sought to impose same-sex "marriage" across the land, in every legal venue. The government has also promoted “gender ideology” in public schools, to teach children that they can choose their own gender. The government has undermined the rights of parents to decide on the education of their children according to their own convictions and principles.

The people of Mexico have taken to the streets to protest these dangerous and unwanted “reforms.” On the weekend of September 10-11, the group Frente Nacional por la Familia (National Front for the Family) organized marches in 122 cities and towns across the country. These marches collectively brought together nearly 1.2 million people to protest the government’s actions. This followed marches throughout the country earlier in the spring that likewise filled the streets of Mexican cities and towns.

National Front for the Family March in Guadalajara

On September 24, 2016 Frente Nacional por la Familia will host the National March for the Family in Mexico City. Although we cannot personally join the march in Mexico City, the undersigned individuals wish to convey their full support for the objectives of the marchers.

We join with Frente Nacional por la Familia in calling for: 1) The explicit recognition of marriage as the exclusive union of one man and one woman, 2) The affirmation of the right of the child to have a mother and a father, and 3) The rejection of “gender identity” proposals and of all the anti-family proposals made previously by President Enrique Peña Nieto.
