A new guidebook – Can I Tell You About Gender Diversity? – which is set to be released early 2017, instructs teachers, students and parents to stop using language which implies that there are only two biological genders i.e. it tells teachers, parents and students to stop using the terms “boys” and “girls”. The book will be distributed to 120 schools around the UK.

This might seem like some kind of bizarre, unfunny joke but unfortunately that is not the case.

The book describes boys who feel like boys and girl who feel like girls as “cisgender” — the opposite of “transgender” — while frowning upon such words as “ladies” and “gents”.

The Mail on Sunday reports that the book proposes a wide array of alternative terms to describe gender and sexuality, including “intersex”, “genderqueer” and “panromantic” – someone who seeks romantic relationships with people of “all gender identities.”

To make matters worse, the book is being distributed by Educate & Celebrate, a charity ultimately funded by the British taxpayer.

What is the rationale for all this? To make educational institutions “LGBT+ friendly” and to eradicate “homophobia, biphobia and transphobia from our schools and communities.”

Obviously bullying of any kind should not be tolerated, but this blatant attempt at social engineering through language control – or better, through language abuse – shows the totalitarian impulse of this ideology. It is a radical ideology which is apparently trying to erase differences between the sexes and which its proponents are attempting to force on our nation’s children.

For example, one passage of the book argues that “language in general” should veer away from the idea that they are only two genders, on the grounds that it excludes young people who identify as trans or gender fluid.

But for anyone who does not except modern gender theory or transgender ideology, this is true. There are only two genders, male and female. There is no third option. This does not exclude anyone despite that fact that there may well be people confused about which category they fall into.

There are two fundamental issues at stake here:

1. The propagation of an ideology radically at odds with objective reality which has extremely dangerous consequences for those people, especially children, whom it purports to help.
2. The freedom to disagree. The right to think, and act (all things being equal) in accordance with what you think, is in danger. This latter point is aptly demonstrated by the controversy surrounding Professor Jordan Peterson at the University of Toronto.

There now exists legislation in Canada which makes it illegal to not use a person’s preferred gender pronoun, which compels individuals to use invented language regarding gender. This includes pronouns like “zie” and “zirs” and “per” and “pers”. Those who refuse to comply are accused of hate speech, potentially face job loss, fines and even jail time.

Furthermore, the American College of Pediatricians has been very clear on the dangers of transgender ideology which includes extremely high rates of suicide, even after “transitioning”, among the transgender population, and the dangerous effects of hormone treatment which includes infertility and is associated with an increased risk of blood clots, strokes and even cancer.

They go on to say that "Conditioning children into believing that a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse." In fact, what they say is so important it is reproduced here:

"The bottom line:  Our opponents advocate a new scientifically baseless standard of care for children with a psychological condition (GD) that would otherwise resolve after puberty for the vast majority of patients concerned.  Specifically, they advise:  affirmation of children’s thoughts which are contrary to physical reality; the chemical castration of these children prior to puberty with GnRH agonists (puberty blockers which cause infertility, stunted growth, low bone density, and an unknown impact upon their brain development), and, finally, the permanent sterilization of these children prior to age 18 via cross-sex hormones. There is an obvious self-fulfilling nature to encouraging young GD children to impersonate the opposite sex and then institute pubertal suppression. If a boy who questions whether or not he is a boy (who is meant to grow into a man) is treated as a girl, then has his natural pubertal progression to manhood suppressed, have we not set in motion an inevitable outcome? All of his same sex peers develop into young men, his opposite sex friends develop into young women, but he remains a pre-pubertal boy. He will be left psychosocially isolated and alone. He will be left with the psychological impression that something is wrong. He will be less able to identify with his same sex peers and being male, and thus be more likely to self identify as “non-male” or female. Moreover, neuroscience reveals that the pre-frontal cortex of the brain which is responsible for judgment and risk assessment is not mature until the mid-twenties. Never has it been more scientifically clear that children and adolescents are incapable of making informed decisions regarding permanent, irreversible and life-altering medical interventions. For this reason, the College maintains it is abusive to promote this ideology, first and foremost for the well-being of the gender dysphoric children themselves, and secondly, for all of their non-gender-discordant peers, many of whom will subsequently question their own gender identity, and face violations of their right to bodily privacy and safety." It is utterly unacceptable for the state to ignore these warnings and to continue to peddle this ideology to children.

It is utterly unacceptable that this will presumably happen, in many cases, without parental knowledge. This issue strikes at the very heart of who we are which is being radically distorted and confused.

Do Not Introduce Gender Ideology Social Engineering Through Language Control in Schools

For the Attention of Justine Greening MP,

Dear Secretary of State for Education Justine Greening MP,

I am deeply concerned by the introduction of the book “Can I Tell You About Gender Diversity?” into our school system.

The book – distributed by the Government funded group Educate and Celebrate – not only advises teachers not to refer to children as ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ as this implies that there are only two genders, but also introduces children as young as seven to such controversial and confusing concepts as “gender-queer” and “panromantic”.

I strongly object to the introduction of this ideology into schools. This is a case of the state greatly extending its reach into the formation of the next generation of citizens and amounts to a form of Orwellian language control. I wish to remind you that this is the primary responsibility of parents and does not belong to the state.

1. This book and the ideology it encompasses are radically at odds with any sort of scientific understanding of the nature of the human species as man and woman.
2. As we have seen in other countries, whilst these kinds of initiatives are ostensibly to ensure gender-confused persons or in this case, children, are not excluded, these initiatives inevitably end up punishing those who refuse to comply. What guarantees can you offer that when some educators, parents or even children, inevitably refuse to comply, that they will not be punished?

It is disgraceful that this Government would tacitly encourage state funded schools to promote ideas such as these. Elimination of language, such as “boys” and “girls”, and introduction of terms, such as “panromantic” and “gender queer” is deeply subversive of the family as it amounts to a state approved ideology being imposed on children unable to critically reflect on what is being told to them.

They even go on to say that "Conditioning children into believing that a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse."

Of course people who are struggling with their gender identity deserve help. Of course, they should not be stigmatised or cast out or bullied. They deserve out utmost sympathy and respect. But (trans)gender ideology does not help and it is utterly unacceptable for the state to ignore these warnings and to continue to peddle this ideology to children.

It is utterly unacceptable that this will presumably happen, in many cases, without parental knowledge. This issue strikes at the very heart of who we are which is being radically distorted and confused.

I ask you therefore, that you intervene on this important matter and stop it now. Keep this ideology out of our schools. Children cannot continue to be innocent victims of ideological experiments. I ask also that when many educators inevitably reject this ideology, when they refuse to use the prescribed language of this ideology, that the Department of Education will come to their defence.
