But a co-financing of "Limina" is still not ruled out for the "promotion of culture Commission" Obwalden. Florian Halbedl, one of the producers, comes from Engelberg, which is in the Canton of Obwalden, but is acutally living in Canada. The seven-member Cultural Promotion Commission shall decide in October. That is why we need to collect as many signatures as possible.

In August 2015, the promising trailer for the new Swiss Heidi-Film, which will be on at Christmas, was released. The film plot is very similar to the world famous children's story from Johanna Spyri, Heidi, and tells the story of "a small girl with a big heart who is in search of her real home". Simultaneously with this "classical, authentical" production, as regisseur Alain Gsponer describes it, a second "Heidi"-film is being created, which has a radically different message: the Shortfilm "Limina" of Florian Halbedl and his transgender partner Joshua Ferguson presents the story of 8-year-old Alexandra, whose sex is on purpose not determined - gender-fluid.

This children's film, which is determined as a reinterpretation of Heidi from the gender perspective, wants to express - as its title "Limina", which is the plural of the Latin word "Limen" (border), predicts - an apparently only vague, effectually fluid demarcation of gender. The surreal narration in front of magnificent Alpine-scenery aims at arousing more sympathy for "gender diversity", according to the authors. The film wants to encourage parents to stop forcing a specific gender on their children. The cultural promotion commission of Oberwalden (Switzerland) is highly interested in co-financing, as stated by the local newspaper. They even try to get the culture committee of Nidwalden on board. The crowdfunding campaign on the web is for example supported by Dominique Gisin, a former Olympic ski champion and classmate of Halbedl.

As per the Italian news portal Corrispondenza Romana, this attempt to normalize transsexuality and transgenderism, "is an assassination on childhood which entails devastating psychological and social consequences". The currently valid international classification of illnesses ICD 10 by the WHO record that the numerous forms of inadequate identification with one's gender belong to gender identification disorder (GIS), which are part of personality and behaviour disorders. Only in rare cases, children suffer from GIS: "It is signified by a long lasting strong apprehension against one's predetermined gender along with the desire or the constant affirmation of belonging to the opposite sex. There is a persistent preoccupation with the clothing and activities of the opposite sex and the rejection of one's own gender. The diagnosis indicates a "profound disturbance of the normal gender identity", which is different from a mere boyishness in girls or girlish behavior in boys. Given the seriousness of the disease's symptoms, it is inadequat to speak of gender fluid or trans-children, as if there were more than two genders. The fact that problematic phenomena, which affected people connect with severe suffering, are even advertised, is a scandal.

The LGBT lobby and the creators of "Limina" have declared war on the existence of binary genders. On the one hand, they want to dispel the "myth" that there are only two sexes, and on the other hand, they claim that the social gender role (gender) has allegedly nothing to do with the biological gender (sex), but is a pure social construction. One's own biography and one's own tragic fate is decisive. Halbedls partner Ferguson is transgender: he is outwardly like a woman who dresses like a woman and apparently also feels that way. Halbedl declares the Obwalden newspaper: "My husband is biologically a man, but does not fit into this social sex." However, he does not want a sex change. This distinguishes Ferguson as transgender from "classic" transsexual people who want to get rid of their discomfort of supposedly being born in the wrong body, with a sex change operation.

 Serious mental health problems that need to be addressed in therapy, are summarily deported to an allegedly wrong body in this way. This entails fatal consequences! "Transsexual sentient people suffer from severe intrapsychic conflicts, often associated with the rejection of one's own sexual self (the being a girl, the being a boy) and with depression. Many therapists do not have an appropriate training discovering this deep and severe conflicts. Instead, operations are presented as the best, perhaps even the only solution. The fact that operations are available, leads patients, who believe that operations are the solution, into building a high resistance to therapy. The availability of operations may discourage patients and therapists from working together on a psychotherapeutic solution: on narcissism, the anger and the inability of the patient to accept the reality of their own sex." A 2011 study from Sweden also shows that the suicide rate among transgender people after a sex change operation is almost 20 times higher than in the general population. Still, the misconception of the Trans-normality is now to be applied in a film, which is explicitly aimed at children and their parents. And even with governmental support!

This is why we ask you to sign our petition to the cultural promotion of the Canton of Obwalden with the request to support the destructive film project "Limina" under no circumstances.
