American Billionaire Attempting to Reshape Ireland in his Own Image By Funding Pro-Abortion Groups – This Cannot Go Unchallenged
George Soros’ ‘Open Society Foundations’ (OSF) are a global funding network which are financially supporting Abortion Rights Campaign, Amnesty International Ireland, and the Irish Family Planning Association.
Soros is a Hungarian-American businessman and one of the richest people on the planet. His New York City-based OSF document focuses on repealing the pro-life Eighth Amendment, with heavy funding for the Abortion Rights Campaign, Amnesty International Ireland, and the Irish Family Planning Association "to work collectively on a campaign to repeal Ireland's (Eighth) constitutional amendment."
Leaked document belonging to Soros' Open Societies Foundations reveal its 2016-2019 strategy for "women's rights."
“With one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the world, a win there could impact other strongly Catholic countries in Europe, such as Poland, and provide much needed proof that change is possible, even in highly conservative places,” the document reads.
This is clearly an instance of a foreign organisation seeking to influence the very identity of Ireland by changing the Irish Constitution. Ireland has one of the best maternal health services in the world and is a persistent problem for the pro-abortion myth that abortion is needed for women’s healthcare.
This action by Soros’ foundation is, as well as being profoundly contrary to the dignity of the human person, an insult to the Irish people. Matters related to the Irish Constitution and the Irish identity should be determined by the Irish people and not an outside force seeking to impose its own radical agenda on Ireland.
Soros' strategy is to create and/or fund “a robust set of organizations advancing and defending sexual and reproductive rights and injecting new thinking/strategy into the field," which will “stem, mitigate and reverse the tide of fetal personhood laws and constitutional amendments."
Ireland continues to have one of the lowest maternal death rates in the world and this is done without abortion. Abortion groups are apparently able to act well beyond their own means presumably because of the support they receive from overseas. This creates the false impression that they have more support in Ireland than they actually do and we need to ensure our politicians aware this.
