Carphone Warehouse Openly Supports Abortion With “We’re Pro-Choice” Ad Campaign – Don’t Give Them Your Custom Anymore
“We’re Pro-Choice” – so runs the slogan of the latest ad campaign from the British company, the Carphone Warehouse. They are apparently openly supporting abortion in Ireland – a “medical” procedure which kills one and wounds another. A procedure which has helped to result in 200 million missing women and girls in India and China, and for which there is evidence of sex-selective abortion in the UK as well.
The Carphone Warehouse’s advertising campaign is therefore an absolute disgrace. This is an important and sensitive debate which is not helped by large businesses attempting to profit from mindless slogans.
They have said “We are not making any comment on the current debate in Ireland, nor are we seeking to trivialise the issue”, and “This campaign is in no way making a political statement.”
Both of these statement are either completely disingenuous or misguided and unaware in the extreme. The pro-abortion rhetoric has focused on choice since its inception and it is impossible to believe that the Carphone Warehouse was unaware of this.
We’re “pro-choice” about all sorts of things. We’re “pro-choice” about where to live, what job to get which friends to make, and, in this case, which phone to buy – but make sure it will not be from the Carphone Warehouse!
But we’re not “pro-choice” about slavery, or wife beating or racial violence. All of these are absolutely wrong and can never be justified.
We should not be “pro-choice” about abortion either because it is a choice to kill the smallest and most defenceless among us, and to seriously harm that child’s mother.
Therefore, the Carphone Warehouse’s use of this slogan is utterly despicable and without excuse. They do not deserve a penny of your money and only you can ensure they don’t get it.
If you have a contract with the Carphone Warehouse end it; if you’re thinking of getting a new phone or contract, don’t get it with them!
