Petition to Save Charlie Gard: 10-month-old sentenced to death at London hospital
Update: 07/07/2017 -- We just heard about a breakthrough in the fight for Charlie's life! The Great Ormond Street hospital is requesting a re-hearing with the High Court. The preliminary hearing will take place on Monday, July 9th. The hearing will likely continue on Thursday. This is a sign that the hospital is finally recognizing that Charlie deserves a chance at receiving treatment in accordance with his parents' wishes.
Thank you for your efforts on behalf of Charlie! Please sign this petition and share it with your friends. We must maintain momentum on this campaign!
Charlie Gard, a 10-month-old baby, will soon be taken off life support by Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Charlie’s parents, Connie and Chris, just lost their final appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. This was the last court that could have saved Charlie and stayed his execution
Doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital have given Charlie’s parents a few days at most to say goodbye to him before they remove his life support.

Against the requests of his parents, the doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital have decided that Charlie would be better off dead. His parents independently raised 1.4 million pounds to take him the United States, where he could receive an experimental treatment for his condition. Charlie’s parents are not asking for money from the government or for free services from the hospital, they are merely seeking the opportunity to transport him with their own funds!
It is absolutely ludicrous that the hospital thinks they can play God in determining whether Charlie’s life is worth living.
Charlie’s parents have worked tirelessly over the last few months, but a series of courts have ruled against them, with the ECHR recently determining that Charlie should be granted “death with dignity.”
Please act now! Help us ask the hospital to listen to the request of Charlie’s parents and allow them to use their personal funds to transport Charlie to the United States for treatment.

This is an urgent request to the Great Ormond Street Hospital to save Charlie’s life. Despite the Court’s judgement, the Hospital could still decline to remove Charlie’s life support and allow him to be transported to the United States.
This decision is both heartbreaking and evil.
Please help us show that there is international outrage over this decision! It is our last chance to save Charlie.
