Iran: Release the Christian converts Anoushe Reza-Bakhsh and Sohail Zagarzade-sani!
They arrived without warning: In the early morning of 20 February, 2017, Anoushe (Veronica) Reza-Bakhsh and her son Sohail (Augustine) Zargarzade-Sani were arrested in Urmia, Iran, by members of the Revolutionary Guard, and taken to an undisclosed location.
According to a report by the Iranian-Christian news agency, Mohabat News, notebooks, as well as various religious Scripture and Bibles, were seized from their apartment.
The 51-year-old Anoushe (Veronica) Reza-Bakhsh and her son Sohail converted from Islam to Christianity. Witnesses reported that they had travelled to Turkey some time ago, where they were baptised and joined the Catholic Church. Sohail is known to follow religious programs through satellite TV, and to educate himself with online offerings to deepen his faith.
According to information from different sources, it is not yet known where the two are held, what, specifically, they are charged with, and how they are being treated physically.
In Iran, apostasy - the departure from Islam - is relentlessly persecuted and punished according to the rules of Sharia law.
Please help Anoushe (Veronica) and Sohail (Augustine).
