Point Defiance Elementary School, in the Tacoma School District, has approved the Satanic Temple of Seattle’s application to begin an “After School Satan Club” for students! Centennial Elementary School in Mount Vernon is also considering allowing a Satan Club on campus.

This must be stopped! We need to protect our children from this anti religious indoctrination. There is no place for a Satan Club at an elementary school. The Satanic Temple of Seattle is attempting to use these clubs to destroy the faith of school children. Please sign this petition to school administrators to make clear that we will not stand for this religious bullying.

The entire purpose of these Satan Clubs is to destroy the wonderful success of “Good News” afterschool clubs. The Good News club is a voluntary after school program for children who want to learn about Jesus. The Satanic Temple wants to destroy the wonderful work that these clubs are doing by forcing schools that allow Good News clubs to allow Satan clubs.

The Satanic Temple is trying to bully school administrators into closing down after-school Bible studies. However, they have no legal grounding to do so.

As the Family Policy Institute of Washington has reported, “In no way can the First Amendment be construed to prohibit voluntary after school clubs with a religious basis from operating in public schools.” However, “the First Amendment does not give religious protections to secular political advocacy organizations like the Satanic Temple.

Washington State schools should unequivocally reject the after-school Satan clubs and all efforts by the Satanic Temple to destroy the hearts and minds of our children. Our school children must be protected from this terrible evil. We know from Scripture that the minds of children must be guarded. Exposing our kids—the next generation of religious Americans—to this kind of grave evil could have a devastating impact on their spiritual and emotional development. Not to mention our democracy!

Stand with us in unambiguously denouncing and rejecting the advances of the Satanic Temple on our children.

Reject the after-school Satan clubs

Dear School Administrators,

I have heard the news that Point Defiance Elementary School, in the Tacoma School District, has approved the Satanic Temple of Seattle’s application to begin an “After School Satan Club” for students.

I urge you to stop the advance of these Satanic clubs on elementary school campuses. The Satanic Temple of Seattle is attempting to use these clubs to destroy the faith of school children.

The entire purpose of these Satan Clubs is to destroy the wonderful success of “Good News” after-school clubs. The Good News club is a voluntary after-school program for children who want to learn about Jesus.

The Satanic Temple of Seattle is trying to bully you into opening up Satan clubs for fear of legal liability. I want to assure you, they have no legal grounding. In no way can the First Amendment be construed to prohibit voluntary after school clubs with a religious basis from operating in public schools. However, the First Amendment does not give religious protections to secular political advocacy organizations like the Satanic Temple. (See Cavanaugh v. Bartelt, 2016, for more information.)

Washington State schools can legally and should unequivocally reject the after-school Satan clubs.

For the good of our children, I pray you will consider doing so.
