To Remove Playboy and Other Adult Magazines From Barnes and Noble Bookstore Cafe Area

Barnes and Noble poses as a family friendly company. They sell children's books and many schools hold fundraising events at various B&N locations. However, you will be shocked to see the Playboy magazines displayed right next to cafe area in plain view. The truth is the corporate mandates every store in the nation to display adult magazines such as Playboy right next to the cafe area. Young children and teenagers frequent the cafe area, and they cannot avoid exposure to these adult materials. We are living in an era when 56% of divorces are attributed to pornography. We must not allow our culture to accept public display of pornographic materials, especially in the area where children can view them. We want to condemn the company for this unethical business conduct.  We want to express our feeling of betrayal for all the families who brought their children to the stores. On behalf of all the families and expecially for our children, we are petitioning the Barnes and Noble Corporation to remove these magazines from the cafe area and place them under a seperate adult content area and to cover the front pages of the magazines.
