Restoring the personhood of pre-born children isn't just about passing new pro-life laws, it is also about enforcing the ones we already have on the books!

Although current federal law prohibits tax-payer funding from going to any organization committing or advocating abortion, it has never been effectively enforced.

Defunding the abortion industry, while not the end goal of the personhood movement, certainly helps us work toward our goal in a morally consistent way.

This is why Personhood Alliance celebrates Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's decision to expand the Mexico City policy and enforce the Siljander Amendment, including an immediate reduction of funds to the Organization of American States.

This expansion means no American taxpayer funds can be used for any international organization that lobbies for or performs abortion or gives money to other organizations that do. Pompeo's decision is a bold, unprecedented rejection of the global population control agenda and a principled step forward in ending the injustice of abortion.
