Pro-lifers are always told that we must accept morally flawed legislation because it is the best that we can hope to achieve under the current circumstances.

This was the case this year with the flawed Pain Capable Abortion "Ban" Legislation. Never mind that we have the largest GOP majority in decades.

Rank and file pro-lifers were told that if we only would overlook our principles and support a bill that legally justified the murder of children under 20 weeks or at any point in pregnancy for those conceived in rape or incest, then we would at least be able to make incremental gains.

Of course, once a large part of the pro-life movement accepted to deal with the devil and supported morally flawed legislation, the politicians decided to pull the plug on even that severely flawed legislation.

You see this was nothing but a game for them, and by accepting this deeply flawed legislation, the mainstream pro-life movement cried uncle before the fight had even began. But not all pro-life groups bought the lie that we had to violate our conscience in order to make political gains.

The members of the Personhood Alliance dared to speak out against the Pain Capable Abortion "Ban."

It was in response to calls from members of the Personhood Alliance, that Representative Jody Hice agreed to introduce H.R. 426, a 100% pro-life alternative.

H.R. 426 asserts the power granted to Congress under article 1 Section 8 of the United States Constitution as well as under section 5 of the 14th Amendment to make necessary and proper laws to protect the right to life from fertilization and without any form of discrimination.

With this petition, you can join your voice to the other members of the Personhood Alliance in urging members of congress to get behind the Sanctity of Human Life Act.

The Sanctity of Human Life Act would command congress to combat the judicial tyranny which has allowed a group of unelected judges to undemocratically force abortion on demand upon our nation.

There is simply no reason why the Congress has to cower to the Supreme Court when the 14th amendment clearly gives the Congress, not the Supreme Court the right and duty to enforce the equal protection clause:

"The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article." Section 5 of the 14th Amendment

It is time for the people's representatives to do their job. As pro-lifers we understand that weak kneed compromise leads us nowhere.
