President Trump: Issue an Executive Order Recognizing the Personhood of Pre-born Children
President Trump: Issue an Executive Order Recognizing the Personhood of Pre-born Children
With Republicans in control of all branches of government, NOW is the time to take bold action to save the lives of children in the womb. Ask President Trump to issue an executive order that directs all federal agencies to recognize the rights of pre-born children.
Now is the time for a bold, principled, practical pro-life strategy to restore the right to life for children in the womb. Are you in?
For 45 years, in addition to working to make abortion unthinkable, pro-lifers have poured their time, money, and energy into electing the right people to undo the harm Roe v. Wade unleased, when activist judges eclipsed the constitutional right to life and created a so-called right to abortion. But politicians are fickle and forget their promises, and the abortion lobby is powerful and vicious.
Thirty years ago, President Ronald Reagan took a bold step to defy that lobby, when he declared in his Personhood Proclamation the “unalienable personhood of every American, from the moment of conception until natural death” and promised to “take care that the Constitution and laws of the United States are faithfully executed for the protection of America's unborn children."
While Reagan's proclamation was inspiring, it was mostly symbolic. Today, the courts are closer to recognizing the legal personhood of apes than of pre-born humans.
Republicans now have control of the House and Senate. And America has a president courageous enough to not only stand up to the culture of death as Reagan did, but also use his constitutional power to order all federal agencies to recognize children in the womb as persons deserving of equal protection, without exception.
President Trump has signed 55 executive orders to date. It is time for the president to use an executive order to restore equal protection to children in the womb. It is time for him to Make America Great Again by making America good again.
