Freedom of speech in Europe is at stake!

A few days ago, we launched an important campaign aiming to stop the EU effort to extend the list of hate speech crimes.

However, we do not have much time left, and the meeting of the Council for Legislative and Home Affairs is coming.

Therefore, we ask you to take your phone and call the Ministry of Justice [Name of Minister in YOUR COUNTRY] and express to them your concern about freedom of speech in Europe in a polite way.

You can call [Number of Ministry] whenever between [OFFICE HOURS].

You may use your own words or tell for example the following:

I've learned there is a European Commission proposal to be voted on June 9. 

It seeks to include hate speech as a crime so that there is only one official way of thinking. 

I don't like the EU to shut me up just because I think differently".

Additionally, hate speech and hate crimes are not sufficiently clear concepts and can be easily misused.

Therefore, we ask you that the Minister of Justice [NAME] vote AGAINST the extension of the list of EU crimes to hate speech and hate crimes.
